The Argentine Firefighters Foundation continues to work through the “Firefighters Against Cancer” campaign to organize free talks, debates, and webinars on cancer prevention.
In 2026, the Foundation will launch the second national survey on cancer awareness among firefighters. It will be the first study in Latin America on cancer among volunteer firefighters due to the nature of their work. This research aims to become the first paper to highlight the level of exposure of firefighters to carcinogens and the high risk of contracting the disease.
Among other objectives, this research seeks to develop health policies that accompany and strengthen the campaign that the Argentine Firefighters Foundation has been carrying out since 2015.
