For 6 years ProDogRomania has been financially supporting the public shelter Bucov in Ploiesti by paying the costs for food, veterinary care, purchase of huts, vaccinations, supply of skin dogs, purchase of building materials for new kennels and roofs. These costs are immense and almost 2,500 dogs are raised by donations.
In the public Shelter Bucov, dogs are caught daily by dog catchers and brought into the Shelter. Also, through the work of our two animal rights activists Mihaela and Aniela, dogs or puppies are handed over by their owners. Before our involvement, the living conditions for the dogs were very bad, no regular food, no daily water supply and the dogs were not looked after at all or only very badly by veterinarians.
Only through donations can the current care be ensured for an ever increasing number of dogs. Thanks to our work the dogs now receive daily food and water, are vaccinated and provided with veterinary care. Each dog is castrated promptly.
Especially by buying huts and building roofs we try to improve the situation of the dogs on the spot, because not all dogs can be brought to Germany.
