It has been a little long now since we gave an update about this project but we are pleased to be able to update you finally. We again want to extend our thanks and appreciation to all of the friends and donors who have been able to gave their support to these hopeless kids. Schools got closed last month and we wanted to get all of their reports from their schools before giving an update. The performances of most of the kids were excellent and we are very proud of that and we are happy that the resources you spent on them were materialized. We are proud of you because you stood with us to give these kids hope, happiness and future. We realize that this is a very long journey that really needs a very committed people and a wonderful organization team like globalgiving, we cannot continue this project without your support.
The new academic school year has begin therefore we have quickly been able to rushed to Bong County to settle students fees and others requirement. When I arrived in Gbarnga I met with Aaron around the Lofa parking and we both went to his school campus to do his registration and he happy to see me again to pay for his first semester tuition at AAA School in Gbarnga. He said to me that even though his family died, but I give him the feeling of his family being alive with the kind of love and cares I continue to show him and his siblings. However, I told him I was just a middle person but those who pay for you do not even know you nor they know me, and asked how than they get to help us? I told him on earth there are good people who care for the poor and less fortunate in the world. He was really amazed to hear that. Aaron is now promoted to grade 10th; his siblings were also promoted to K1, 1st and 2nd and 4th grades.
I later went to Daniel’s house to find and he went along with me to the Phebe Community Lutheran School, he is now promoted to the 12th grade and he will be doing the West African Examination this year. When I visited their home, his siblings have left for the farm and I could not meet with them the farm is a distant from the main town. Daniel said that he was happy that he is going to complete high school this year and his wish is that he will be able to enroll at college after graduation so that he can be a help to his family and country. He gave appreciation to everyone that supports him and his siblings, and he also pray that God will continue to protect and guide all those that have been touched to support them.
We are always grateful Globalgiving entire team for their continual support to our project and many thanks go to our sponsors, supporters and donors for their commitment to this project and the kids of Liberia.
