Restoring the hope of Ebola orphans

By VAAFD TEAM | VAAFD TEAN

The Ebola left behind terrible and sad stories that can never be forgotten in our communities today. Siannea is 7 years old her both parents died as result of the Ebola epidemic in 2014 leaving behind she and siblings and they now live with their who unemployed. We have been working with them paying for their education at the Phebe Community High School in Suakoko Bong County in central Liberia. We also provide other support them such as medical care, food items and clothing but it done on limited skill since resources and supports are limited. Siannea and her siblings are nine and we sponsor all of them at the same school two are in the 12th grade and they will be graduating this school. We want to increase their support helping them acquire other knowledge especially the older one and we want to continue supporting these kids till they can complete their educational goal provided if our donors and supported can continue to support our cause. We have other Ebola orphans that we sponsor in three other schools in and around Gbarnga, we also sponsor other Ebola orphans in Monrovia, Kakata and Buchannan. We are presently working with 63 Ebola orphans and also selected 52 Ebola survivors that will be benefiting from our Micro-loan project in 2016.

We are thankful to Globalgiving, our supporters, friends and donors for all the concern and love they continue to show in supporting our work. We appreciate every effort you and contribution you are making to support us to help these kids those have been made orphans by Ebola.

We know that this is a challenging project since it has to be ongoing and we have been able to undertake it because you have been providing all of the supports. How do you think we can improve this project? Most of the kids we are sponsoring we are mostly focus on the education but there is a lot to be done that go beyond just education. Please we will appreciate your view and decision making in this project. Thank you again and we want to challenge to please continue your support and also contact friends and relatives to please help us continue the support for these kids. They never knew that today they could be in such condition they find themselves.

We are can right assure that with your support and we can make a great difference in the lives of these.
