Fighting child malnutrition in poor areas of Peru

Project Report | Mar 8, 2024
2023 report

By Nalda Loli | Grants manager

During 2023, the team of nutritionists were in charge of visiting the children and their families, as well as holding workshops on preparing recipes with organ meats that have a high iron content. In this way we served more than 200 families in the South Lima area and we achieved that 80% of children with anemia or risk improved their hemoglobin levels. This year we need to continue adding efforts to serve more children. Our plans are to continue caring for those children who have not yet managed to overcome anemia and expand our scope of action, covering more communities in our intervention area.
