Project Report | Jun 4, 2015
Some seek a more beutiful world, others make it

By Osvaldo Sanchez | Director of Techo Jalisco

The situation in “Lomas del Tizate”  has changed a lot since the beginning of this history, we’re glad to tell you that the 17 families are being part of other projects to improve the life conditions in their community. The transitional house that TECHO built together with them has been the start of something new.

We built the houses in “Lomas del Tizate” for the families that needed the most. Together with the more than 200 volunteers, we reached the goal. Volunteers from different universities, highschools and partner companies made this possible. It took us continuos visits, previous studies in the community and a lot of effort from families and volunteers to organize the construction. During the weekend, that we built the houses it took us: staying up late, waking up early, physical work, a lot of sweat and  teamwork.

This history inspired us to improve our work and to empower the families so they can be the protagonist of their history.

Thanks for your support, joining the TECHO team and be part of this fight, we will continue to work with projects like this, we hope to continue having your support.
