We thank you for being part of this community and we'll continue to honor you. We want to make sure you see the impact your donations are having on those you chose to support and help.
Your donations are making a difference in the lives of those who less fortunate in Haiti.
As you might be aware,
"Haiti ranks 169th of 189 countries on the 2019 Human Development Index. Despite notable improvements in some development indicators over the past two decades – including an increase of nine years in life expectancy at birth – chronic poverty is still widespread throughout the country. Many people don’t have easy access to electricity, water, sanitation or healthcare. Two children out of ten do not attend primary school, and the literacy level of the population over 10 years of age is 61 percent.
Haiti has one of the highest levels of food insecurity in the world. According to a new Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) analysis, more than one in three people need urgent food assistance, that is nearly 3.7 million people. Over 1 million people are in a situation classified as emergency. New areas could be in emergency situations in 2020."
One problem thus, this project has very little amount of people who contributed to reaching the intended goal, there are no funds to continue our response to the many people in need. No matter the obstacles, DMIremains committed to saving lives by providing vulnerable families with life-saving assistance. A simple kit – consisting of rice, beans, and oils; products many of us take for granted – could mean the difference between going to sleep hungry or having a meal for the people we serve—and your generosity is what makes this positive change possible.
There's still time for your compassion to go even further. Join us in making the world a little brighter by sharing the link below!
