Thanks to all of your support Cyaruzinge village now has a successful pig cooperative that is growing quite quickly!
In the past 4 months the 4 adult pigs the cooperative were given at the start of the project have given birth to a total of 20 piglets!
The cooperative members have decided to keep all 20 of the piglets in the cooperative. They will not sell them. Once this first round of piglets is grown and starts reproducing the cooperative members will start receiving their first pig. What does this mean for the members?
Well....
Each pig sells for any where from (150,000RWF - 300,000RWF). The members report that each pig they sell will feed the average cooperative member's family for about 3-5 months!!!
The members are continuing to work hard and are waiting patiently for the pig family to grow so they can each receive a pig and start benefitting monetarily from their labor!
The members are so grateful to have this opportunity to raise money for the cooperative and to provide for their families! Thank you for your continuous support!!
