The 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics will be a gathering full of dreams and joy for young people worldwide. To celebrate this major event, Sport dans la Ville will organize an International Inclusive Festival in Paris and Lyon. Our goal is to enable children with social difficulties, from all five continents, to enjoy a unique personal and collective experience in France!
Making sport accessible to young people from disadvantaged areas around the world. Sport is much more than a game; it is a powerful tool for social and professional integration. Sport offers invaluable benefits: it teaches discipline, fosters team spirit, builds self-confidence and encourages respect for the rules. This fundraising campaign aims to break down the barriers that stand in the way of so many young people.
Festival 24 will feature Olympic and Paralympic sport activities and workshops designed to promote respect, friendship and equality as well as an educational and cultural exchange pro- gramme. The stars of the festival are 500 young people (from 15 to 18 years old) from disadvantaged communities all over the world who have earned their place on the playing field through their commitment to changing the world through sports, promoting social inclusion, gender equity and equal opportunities.
Festival 24 long-term vision is to enable these young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds to surpass themselves and create unforgettable memories, such as the exceptional opportunity to attend an Olympic equestrian event in Versailles. These enriching experiences are not limited to them alone, as they will also have the opportunity to pass on their experience and inspiration to other young people in their country in order to build a brighter future.
