The project support more than 1,700 families living in a social vulnerability situation in Novo Hamburgo and region/Brazil. This project has a multidisciplinary team composed of professors and students from Feevale University that carries out activities in the areas of communication, culture, education, human rights, enviroment, health, work and income generation and tecnology to attend the different necessities and social realities.
Poverty, unemployment, difficulty in accessing basic services in the areas of health, education, justice and human rights, HIV, domestic violence, enviroment problems such as floods and landslides are some exemples of challenges confronting the locals. Besides that, social and economic gaps have increased the number of families in social vulnerability in the last years.
This social project provides assistance to children, teenagers, mothers, women victims of domestic violence, people living in the streets, refugees, immigrants, indigenous groups and people with others social vulnerabilities. Today we have a multidisciplinary team with approximately 700 students and professors and a support network that includes public and private entities and local NGOs.
This project will support the families through activities aimed at the democratization of information, cultural expression, education and social inclusion, environmental awareness, quality of life and technological and professional qualification.
