This Project will reduce number of Orphans and Vulnerable Children by improving their living Standards. It will also increase the educational transition from Primary to Secondary among the Orphans.
There are currently more than 1000 orphan children within the local community, the project focuses on rescuing the orphans and vulnerable children and supporting their nutritional basic needs at home. Even though the community is working tirelessly, the project has been able to return and retain 14 children at primary level. During the funding period, the project intends to give the educational and nutritional support to over 100 OVCs within the local region.
The project support the children in buying their books and rescuing orphans and vulnerable children who have dropped out of school. The project also support the child care takers by supplementing on their foods, clothing and bedding.
The projects shall reduce the prevalence of the orphans by 20% and increase of the OVC school retention rate by 100% while the living standards of the orphans and their families will be improved and over 100 children will get educational support.
