Dear Donor,
Hunger is the biggest problem in India,” a news representative stated, adding that there are millions who are still going hungry. Addressing the nutritional needs of poor children is a significant concern, particularly in marginalized communities.
At El Shaddai, we have taken the initiative to combat child malnutrition and ensure that children and individuals from the unprivileged section of society receive at least one nutritious meal daily. The key initiative undertaken by El Shaddai is the Meals on Wheels Program, which is a food distribution project by El Shaddai, which aims to provide nutritious meals to children living in slums and on the streets and to Homeless men and women. This initiative recognizes that many children in these areas lack basic meals, leading to malnutrition and health issues.
The program focuses on delivering at least one nutritious meal to these vulnerable children, helping to improve their overall health and well-being. El Shaddai has also provided dry rations and groceries to approximately 1,000 marginalized individuals in Goa. This effort was crucial in helping families navigate the hardships of life. Every year we provide 2,18,400 cooked meals to children and underprivileged families. We have been able to help and reach out to all these children and individuals only through the help and support of all our wonderful supporters and sponsors.
We have a beautiful story about a girl named Pinky (name changed) who, along with her siblings, used to beg on the streets of Panjim, Goa. Her family used to collect scrap and also beg on the streets. One of our outreach workers saw their situation and brought them to our shelter. The Shelter in charge included her in our feeding programme and also enrolled the children in our homes. We are eternally grateful that through your support we have reached out to many such children and individuals.
We are truly grateful for your commitment to our cause and couldn’t do this important work without supporters like you. Thank you for being part of our mission and making a real difference in the lives of those we serve.
With Gratitude,
Sincerely,
El Shaddai Family!
