Uganda was hit by the second wave of covid 19. The rate of new infections was at 21%, the government announced a 42 days lock down. In this period the economic activities of 80% of households was affected.
The sprout Care foundation was able to support 4 households especially those that had children under two years with food, milk and soap. With this support the children were able to atleast have two meals a day.
On addition the organization worked with partner organizations and community leaders to mobilize nutritional supplements for children under 2 years.
The combined efforts saved children from getting severe mulnutrition.
