PERIODIC UPDATE REPORT

By Godfrey Sseremba | Project Leader

Sprout Care Foundation has continued to support vulnerable households through the support of generous donors. The current increasing number of Covid 19 cases in Uganda has led to extended lock down is our communities near the border leading to overwhelming number of children in dire need. We are grateful for the support given to the selected children.

The organisation supported 21 households with a total number of 58 children and 16 caregivers.
The 16 adults and 10 children were living with HIV/AIDS were able to take their drugs consistently due to the fact that they had food. It is difficult for peple living with HIV/AIDS on empty stomach as the drugs are very strong, through the support of food the effects associated with taking drugs without food was eliminated hence promoting good health and wellbeing of the supported children and adults.

The project continued to support children that had access to nutricious food from school. The supported parents could not afford to provide food for their children. This reduced mulnutrition cases among children.
Lastly the project supported the selected less previldged with non medical masks as per government standard of putting on masks for all ugandans aged 6 and above while in public. This has protected people from the virus and enhanced their ability to go in public.
We wish to extend our sincere thanks to all our generous donors.
