Assessment of new barrios
Assessment of new barrios

Dear Friend,

Thank you very much for your continuing support to our initiative feeding starving children. While we focus our effort to developing projects that are sustainable and will provide children and their families with food supply we try also to provide for immediate needs by supplying rice, noodles, milk and other food. There is a delicate balance always on how to do this in order not to promote dependency and so we continue to conduct assessment and review of the needs of the barrios. We select as usual barrios that are remote and that are considered poor in the communities. This reporting period we expanded our effort to focus on additional 2-3 barrios as areas for our assistance. We shall bring also on the new barrios our water, sanitation and local livelihood implementation. Hoping for your continuing support.

Very sincerely yours,

Jed Christian Sayre

Food supply during the holidays
Food supply during the holidays

Dear Friend,

Warmest greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative feeding starving children. We are gearing-up for increased work this year as more and more children are getting hungry. The main reason is that agriculture production is low and food is scarce especially among farming families. We are promoting the growing of vegetables and other food crops like legumes and root crops in order to augment the food reserves of poor families. Meanwhile during this period we distributed food to children in our project areas. We were able to help 220 children in this manner. Aside from food we included in our distribution hygiene kits and vegetable seeds that their parents can grow. Again thank you very much for your kindness and hoping that you will continue to assist us.

Very sincerely yours,

Jed Christian Sayre

Dear Friend,

Warmest greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support to our project feeding starving children. We are very happy to report that we were able to pool resources from this platform as well as outside supporters and during this period we embark on a new venture which is starting a food production farm where we intend to grow different vegetables for distribution to very poor, malnourished children. We will pilot this in a village and determine its development on a regular basis with the view of expanding the initiative to other villages and targeting as many children as we can. In this way we see sustainability in our effort because aside from fresh vegetables we intend to provide also seeds and planting materials to our beneficiaries. Hoping for your continuing support. Thank you very much.

Very sincerely yours,

Establishing supply hubs
Establishing supply hubs

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project feeding children who are starving. Presently, we are experiencing continuous rain that results to difficulty in doing farming activities. Plants also do not grow well when the sun is not always shining and covered by cloudy skies. However despite this problem we continue to provide food supply support for children by equipping their families with small livelihoods like the raising of small animals like chickens and starting vegetable gardening activities. We also designed a mode by which we help establish feeder production hubs by which we are able to distribute farming inputs using these hubs. We have 2 hubs that are operational now, one for small farming animals and another for vegetable seeds and planting materials. Hoping for your continuing support to our initiative. Thank you very much.

Very sincerely yours,

Jed Christian Sayre

Home food supply is key
Home food supply is key

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much indeed for your continuing support to our initiative feeding starving children. This time in our history is very difficult as we confront the problem of the coronavirus pandemic, low farming productivity caused by many factors and the increasing severity of our weather conditions. Farmers and artisans who depend on their strenght and manual labor is at a big loss and finding nutrition is difficult. This reporting period we continue to promote the growing of vegetables and root crops by local villagers in order for them to have access to nutritious food. Depending on outside help is no longer viable as outside helpers are unable to cope and provide. This reporting period we are able to assist a total of 220 families by providing them seeds and organic fertilizer plus localized training. Hoping for your continuing support to this cause. Thank you very much.

Very sincerely yours,

Jed Christian
