Zoe Robinson Academy in Monrovia, Liberia, managed by Hilltop Schools, serves 157 children from low-income families, and many of them attend for free. Every child gets two meals a day, all year long. Food and fuel cost $1,300 a month. Our U.S. partner, the Liberian School for Needy Children, has paid for every meal so far. It will now cover half so it can save to open a high school. Please help us cover the other half for the next 12 months.
Many families we serve cannot afford regular meals. If there is no food at school, parents often keep their children home and send them out to barter for food. A hungry child who does come to class cannot sit still, focus, or learn. Thirty-two of our children were referred through Liberia's national Street Child Project. And the need is growing: enrollment rose by 50% this year, and every child needs to eat.

Children who eat every day come to school every day, and children who come every day learn to read, write, and count. Zoe Robinson Academy now teaches from early childhood through Grade 8. Sharing the cost of meals lets our U.S. partner save toward a high school, so these children can keep learning after Grade 8. Children who once spent their days bartering for food can build a future of their own.
