Feed Over 300 Malnourished Children for 6 Months

The project remains in the fundraising phase, with the primary focus currently on mobilizing the financial resources required to begin implementation. The project has a total funding goal of $20,000, while the latest GlobalGiving information shows that only $1 has been raised, leaving $19,999 outstanding. This means approximately 99.995% of the required funding is still needed before the planned nutrition activities can be fully implemented.

Once sufficient funding is secured, Elite Star Foundation plans to support 300 severely and moderately malnourished children in Niger State through Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), fortified porridge, micronutrient supplements, caregiver nutrition education, and recovery monitoring. The available funding options indicate that $50 can support one child for a month, while $500 can provide six months of nutrition support for one severely malnourished child, including monitoring and caregiver education.

At this stage, no major implementation expenditure has been reported because the project has not yet reached the financial threshold required to commence procurement and distribution. The immediate priority is therefore to increase donor support and close the $19,999 funding gap, enabling the project team to procure nutritional supplies, coordinate distribution through partner clinics and communities, monitor children's recovery, and provide caregivers with practical nutrition training. Continued financial support is essential to move the project from planning into direct service delivery and ensure vulnerable children receive timely nutritional assistance.
