A FULL TUMMY = A HAPPY CHILD
For many of the children in our Soweto Family Care Programme, the meal they receive at the centre is often the only meal they will have that day.
These children grow up in extremely challenging circumstances. Many live with siblings and extended family members in small tin shacks within informal settlements. Having lost one or both parents, they are often raised by elderly grandparents or older siblings who are doing their best to care for them.
Beyond the daily struggle for food and shelter, many of these children lack the encouragement and support that every child deserves. There is often no one to remind them that life can improve, that they can dream, achieve, and build a brighter future. Through our programme, we strive to provide not only practical support, but also hope, guidance, and opportunities that help them believe in their potential.
