For many children in Medellín, having access to a nutritious meal is not something that can be taken for granted. Since the third week of January 2026, Fundación Tiempo de Paz has been working to ensure that 100 children receive regular nutritional support at our San Javier and Boston centers.
Every week, children receive breakfast and lunch five days a week. From the third week of January through July, this represents approximately 28,000 meals provided as part of our commitment to their well-being.
But our work goes beyond providing food. A nutritious meal creates an opportunity for children to feel cared for, remain in a safe environment, and participate with greater readiness in educational, recreational, cultural, and psychosocial activities. At our centers, food becomes part of a broader approach that supports children as they learn, build relationships, develop their skills, and imagine new possibilities for their future.
The support of GlobalGiving donors helps make this possible. Every contribution helps us maintain the resources needed to provide regular meals and continue accompanying children living in vulnerable conditions.
We are grateful to every donor who chooses to stand with these children. Together, we are not only providing meals—we are nourishing hope and creating opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive.
