Dear Donors,
Water collection is not simply a household chore. In many rural communities, it can consume valuable time that women and girls could otherwise use for education, childcare, farming, vocational activities, small businesses, or community participation.
Our project aims to improve access to clean water for 5,000 rural villagers by supporting sustainable water infrastructure and community-led WASH solutions. By bringing safer water sources closer to underserved communities, the project seeks to reduce the burden created by unreliable or distant water sources.
Women are central to household water management, yet they are not always adequately represented in decisions about community water infrastructure. Our approach recognizes the importance of meaningful community participation and encourages local stakeholders to contribute to water management and sustainability.
Improved water access can create practical benefits for households. Time saved from lengthy water collection can potentially be redirected toward income-generating activities, farming, education, childcare, and other priorities. For girls, improved access can also help create more opportunities to remain engaged in school and learning.
The project will combine infrastructure with hygiene education and local management systems because lasting change requires both physical resources and community capacity.
Your support can help rural families gain access to safer water while contributing to broader improvements in health, dignity, productivity, and resilience.
A contribution to this project is an investment in more than a water point. It is an investment in families, women, girls, children, and communities seeking greater opportunities.
We invite you to stand with us as we work toward reaching 5,000 rural villagers with clean and sustainable water access.
Best wishes,
Empower Future Initiative Team
