Food security plays a critical role in the lives of girls and young women. When families experience food insecurity, girls are often among the most affected, facing increased risks related to education, health, and future opportunities.
Adequate nutrition supports healthy growth, educational participation, and overall well-being. Girls who have access to nutritious food are better able to focus on learning and pursue their goals.
Across northern Nigeria, many families continue to face challenges that affect food access and household stability. Supporting nutrition contributes to creating safer and more supportive environments for girls.
Empower Future Initiative believes that investing in girls is essential for community development. When girls thrive, families benefit, communities grow stronger, and future generations gain greater opportunities.
