Women often bear the greatest burden during food crises. Mothers frequently sacrifice their own meals to ensure that children have something to eat. Many women also shoulder the responsibility of caring for families while managing limited household resources.
Food insecurity places tremendous pressure on women and girls, increasing vulnerability and reducing opportunities for economic advancement. Supporting women is therefore essential to strengthening household resilience and improving community well-being.
Empower Future Initiative prioritizes vulnerable households, including women-led families, in our humanitarian response efforts. Through food assistance and nutrition support, we help reduce hardship and improve quality of life.
