Your support will help families survive, protect children's health & restore hope during this difficult period.
Millions of people across Northern Nigeria face food insecurity as conflict, bandit attacks, displacement, and rising food prices disrupt livelihoods. Many farmers can no longer safely access their land, reducing food production and household income. As a result, vulnerable families are skipping meals, selling assets, and struggling to provide adequate nutrition for their children.
This project will provide emergency food assistance to vulnerable families affected by hunger in Northern Nigeria. Through the distribution of staple foods such as rice, beans, and other nutritious items, families will have access to meals during periods of hardship. We will work with local communities to identify those most in need, including displaced households, widows, older persons, and families with young children, helping them meet their immediate food needs.
Access to reliable food support can help families avoid severe hunger, malnutrition, and harmful coping measures such as withdrawing children from school or selling productive assets. The project will improve the health and nutrition of vulnerable households, support children's growth and learning, and help families maintain stability during difficult periods. Healthier families are more likely to survive the crisis, recover their livelihoods, and build a better future for their children.
