We have a Gurukul of 50 resident students at Varanasi, India. The Gurukul provides free food, stay, education and basic necessities to these students, most of whom have no source of income as dedicated individuals. The Gurukul runs on donations from local people. However, with the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, funds have become scarce. The donations have reduced to almost nil since March 2020. With depleting resources, we need urgent help to feed and sustain our resident students & teachers.
For years our Gurukul has been running in Varanasi, with provisions of free food, stay & basic needs to its resident students and teachers. Currently we have 50 students & 3 teachers, apart from 4 employees. Donations have drastically dropped due to economic crisis in current pandemic, and thus we need urgent help to run this noble institution for the poor.
Through this project we will continue providing two time healthy meal and basic necessities to our residents. This will help our students to continue their education in Gurukul and save them from starvation.
The legacy of this selfless school of knowledge and culture will be carried on further in next generation, without any hindrance to the present students, and thus there can be better hopes for a developing nation as ours and for the rural families to which the students belong.
