For many families in Karamoja, the food stored from previous harvests has become exhausted. Prolonged dry conditions, poor harvests, reduced livestock production and rising food prices have left vulnerable households struggling to provide even basic meals. The latest IPC assessment found 473,000 people facing Crisis-level food insecurity or worse between April and July 2026.
We are appealing to compassionate people around the world to help us reach families who urgently need food and nutritional support. Children, pregnant women, older people and other vulnerable household members are particularly at risk.
