A family recovering from violence already has enough to worry about. Where will we live? Can we rebuild our livelihood?
Will our children be safe? What happens next?
Food should not have to be another question.
This is why GoGreen's Feed Displaced Families in Benue Project exists.
Following violence in the Otukpo-Nobi community, families have faced displacement and disruption to their livelihoods. With support received through GlobalGiving, GoGreen recently distributed 25kg bags of rice to 25 vulnerable households.
It was a relatively simple intervention. But humanitarian assistance does not always have to be complicated to matter.
Sometimes dignity looks like a family having food available for dinner.
Sometimes hope looks like someone arriving when you thought nobody was coming.
And sometimes compassion looks like a donor, thousands of kilometres away, deciding that another family's suffering matters.
That is what your support makes possible.
We want to reach more families, but our response can only grow when the resources behind it grow.
Your next gift can help us purchase additional food and reach households facing the difficult aftermath of conflict.
You cannot erase everything these families have experienced.
Neither can we.
But together, we can make hunger one less thing they have to worry about.
