To many of us, a bag of rice may simply be food. To a family recovering from conflict, it can mean something much greater.
It can mean meals for children whose parents have lost their livelihoods. It can mean one less immediate worry for a mother or father trying to rebuild after displacement. It can mean limited household resources being available for another urgent need.
And sometimes, it simply means knowing that someone cares.
Through GoGreen's Feed Displaced Families in Benue Project, donations received through GlobalGiving recently helped us provide 25kg bags of rice to 25 vulnerable households in Otukpo-Nobi community, reaching approximately 125 people.
These families are living with the consequences of a recent violent attack that caused deaths and displacement within their community.
When our team arrived with food assistance, we were not bringing back everything that had been lost. No bag of rice can replace a loved one, restore a destroyed livelihood, or erase the trauma of violence.
But we could stand beside these families.
And because of donors like you, we could say through our actions: You are not forgotten.
There are more families we want to reach, but we cannot do it alone.
Your next donation—whatever the amount—can help put food on another family's table.
One donation. One family reached. One more reason to hope.
Please help us reach the next household.
