Families Are Fleeing With Almost Nothing
When violence erupts, many families in Benue State have only minutes to escape, leaving behind nearly all of their possessions. Survival becomes the priority, with people fleeing alongside children, elderly relatives, and whatever they can carry. Essential items—food, clothing, bedding, farm equipment, livestock, documents—are often left behind, representing years of hard work lost in an instant.
During our recent visit to Otukpo-Nobi, the GoGreen team witnessed the devastation firsthand and listened to the struggles of those displaced. The aftermath of displacement brings urgent and basic needs:
Through the Feed Displaced Families in Benue, Nigeria project, GoGreen is working to supply these essential relief items to families affected by conflict and displacement. These needs are simple but critically urgent—a sleeping mat means not lying on bare ground; a hygiene kit restores dignity; a food package helps a family survive the days ahead.
Your donation can provide practical, immediate relief to families who have escaped with almost nothing. Please consider supporting our efforts to help families in Benue rebuild their lives after crisis.
