Children Should Not Have to Choose Hunger

By JACKSON AMEH | Project Leader

Children Should Not Have to Choose Hunger Because of Conflict

Conflict disrupts entire communities, but children are often among the most deeply affected. When violence forces families from their homes, children lose access to food, education, healthcare, safe water, and the comfort of familiar surroundings.

During our recent assessment in Otukpo-Nobi, the GoGreen team witnessed firsthand the devastation left by violence and heard the urgent concerns of displaced families. For many parents, their greatest fear is how to feed their children amid so much uncertainty.

Nigeria is already facing a significant hunger crisis. According to the United Nations World Food Programme, nearly 35 million Nigerians could face acute food insecurity during the 2026 lean season. Displaced families from farming communities are at even higher risk, having lost access to land, markets, and stored food.

Through our Feed Displaced Families in Benue, Nigeria project, GoGreen is providing emergency food assistance and critical relief to families in urgent need.

Your support can put nourishment in the hands of a child who has already endured far too much. It can ease a mother’s burden and help a family begin to regain stability.

Please stand with us in supporting displaced children and families in Benue. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps bring relief and hope to those who need it most.
