Emergency Relief for Displaced Christian Families

By Ikechukwu Kelechukwu | Project Lead

The humanitarian crisis in Plateau State, Nigeria continues to worsen as violent attacks have displaced thousands of Christian families, leaving many without food, shelter, or income. This emergency has created a growing population of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in urgent need of humanitarian assistance, food relief, and protection.

Today, many displaced families are living in churches, host communities, and temporary shelters, facing extreme hunger and food insecurity. With farms destroyed and livelihoods lost, access to basic nutrition has become a daily struggle. Children, women, and elderly people are among the most affected, with many going to bed hungry.

In response, this project is mobilizing emergency food assistance for IDPs in Plateau State, providing essential food items such as rice, beans, garri, vegetable oil, and other staple supplies. Our distribution approach prioritizes the most vulnerable groups, including widows, children, elderly persons, and people with disabilities, ensuring transparent and community-driven delivery through trusted local churches and volunteers.

We are currently in the beneficiary identification and coordination phase, working closely with community leaders to ensure that this humanitarian food aid reaches those who need it most. The need is urgent, and the scale of displacement continues to grow.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our first donors and early supporters who have taken the first step to stand with displaced families in Plateau State. Your generosity is already making a difference and sending a powerful message of hope to those affected by conflict and hunger.

However, much more support is needed to reach thousands of families still waiting for help.

By supporting this project, you are contributing to:

  • Emergency food relief in Nigeria
  • Humanitarian aid for displaced persons (IDPs)
  • Hunger relief for vulnerable communities
  • Faith-based support for persecuted Christian families
  • Crisis response and recovery in Plateau State

Every donation helps provide life-saving food assistance and restores dignity to families in crisis.

Please donate today and share this project to help us reach more people globally. Together, we can deliver urgent humanitarian relief and rebuild hope for displaced families in Nigeria.
