Korogocho Slums in Nairobi faces severe food insecurity, with many families unable to afford regular meals. Children are the most affected, often going hungry, which impacts their health, growth, and ability to learn. Since 2024, we have seen increasing demand for food support, with over 650 people reached in a single outreach, highlighting the urgent need for consistent feeding programs.
This project provides weekly nutritious meals to vulnerable children and families in Korogocho Slums, ensuring consistent access to food. Alongside feeding, we deliver mentorship and life-skills sessions to support children's growth and well-being. By expanding our current monthly programs to weekly outreach, we will reduce hunger and create a stable, supportive environment for children to thrive.
This project will provide consistent meals and support to at least 1,200 children in Korogocho over 12 months, improving their health, school participation, and overall well-being. By reducing hunger and providing mentorship, children will gain stability and life skills, helping them break the cycle of poverty and build a better future.
