We would like to take the opportunity to thank you, our very generous donors, for many of whom this is the second project you have supported through Global Giving.
We continue to make progress towards our goal of improving the educational opportunities for students in Guyana. We have donated funds to Houston Secondary to provide hot meals for up to 20 students on a weekly basis over the school term. Many students come to school without having eaten. Being able to provide students with meals gives them the ability to concentrate on their work and improve their educational outcomes.
Our next step is to help rebuild the school’s library. We have already started collecting books and plan to ship the books and supplies needed to build the library within the coming weeks. Our goal is to have the library completed by May 2016.
With the success of the collaboration, we hope to continue working with Houston Secondary as well as other Schools throughout Guyana.
