Summary

10 USD feeds African Penguins and fights extinction. Your donation supports SANCCOB, a registered nonprofit, to rescue, rehabilitate and release Critically Endangered African Penguins and other seabirds back to the wild. We admit thousands of seabirds, from abandoned eggs and chicks, starving juveniles to adults that survived predation. In peak months, we feed a ton of fish in just 10 days. Your donation will assist in buying fish for recovering patients until they are ready for release.

Challenge

African Penguins are the most threatened penguin species in the world and could vanish from the wild by 2035. As a nonprofit, we rely on donations to provide nutritious fish, essential medicines, and expert veterinary care for seabirds in crisis, from abandoned chicks to starving juveniles and adults recovering from predation wounds. Your support keeps their tummies full and gives them a second chance, as our team does their best to rehabilitate them to release.

Solution

It is very simple your donation will feed Penguins and Seabirds in our care.

Long-Term Impact

SANCCOB works with national parks, NGOs, and managing authorities to protect the marine environment where penguins and other seabirds struggle to find food. We have secured notake zones around breeding colonies for the next 10 years. This is progress, but not a silver bullet, we continue to advocate for stronger action. Until our oceans are healthy again, we must save every penguin we can, giving them a chance to survive beyond the predicted extinction date of 2035.
