It was a joyous and glamourous day! Children wanted to have more, while mothers were struggling to collect for their children. Oak Rural Health Organization rolled out her first activity of the year by giving out loads of nutrient filled packs to vulnerable children in Ibadan city slum in Oyo state. COVID19 pandemic continues to ravage homes and rendered most parents unable to adequately provide for their children. Adequate nutrients delivered to a child during the first 59 months of life ensures the child grows to an adult, contributing meaningfully to the society. Our investment on these future heroes helps them to build a strong immunity against infection and helps their brain growth and development. Our volunteers are glad to be part of this.
Mothers whose children benefited from this gestures expressed their gratitude, and appealed for more. Every bit of intervention like this, takes the children closer to a brighter future. Donations as little as $10 has an immeasurable impact on a child. While appreciating you for taking us this far, we need more to help the poor children.
