Empower Women in Rural Cameroon - Palm Oil Project

It is my pleasure to once again report on the progress of this project. The women got their maximum satisfaction of this project during the Christmas and New year fesitivities. We did well to buy the Palm oil early enough and distributed two days to the eve of the Christmas during the time which non-members were hunting for oil when the prices were reaised just because of high demand and limited supply.

The Price was due to the high demand as every house hold could not enjoy Christmas and New year without Palm oil which is known to be an essential commody in every house hold.  This is because many can not afford to buy Groundnut   or vegitable oil that is very expensive in Cameroon and especially in Kumbo.

I am in fact very glad to report that  this project went a long way to satisfy the few beneficiary groups but regret the fact that  we did not have enough capital to buy more for more groups to benefit for many families or groups to benefit.

We continue to solicite for who ever would like to support this project to enable more families and groups to to do so without any  hesitation.

It is my wish that as this project is  being sustained and well managed, more women are craving to join and become beneficiaries. It is only because of lack of adequate funds to buy much oil, we only have limited groups.
