The rural women in this part of the country have been very hard working. Instead of sitting and waiting to manner to fall from heaven, they have shared themselves in to team work in other also do some fundraising for this project.
The various groups have been shared in to fives so that when five women go to another ones farm the concern will contribute 500 frs CFA to the project fund thereby promoting unity, team work, agricultural productivity for their families, fund raising etc. It is expected that before the first round of this exercise earn they must have raised at least 150,000 frs CFA.
Since this project was put up in the GlobalGiving only one donor had supported with $25 which is not yet disbursed.They have continued to receive oil from local vendors, sharing within themselves and paying after some works.
The women themselves have embraced hardship and can manage this project the way they can while going on with fund raising.
Whoever wants to donate to this project of help these women is supporting a life time project because it is expected to be on going as it is a sort of creating capital which must be sustainable with the supervision of SEREP NGO and its volunteers.
