By Esther Munji | Program Coordinator
The residents at the shelter have been taking up both soft skills and hard skills for their empowerement. In last two months, with the assistance of our volunteers, the women have learnt how to bake marble cake and chocolate cookies. The cooked items are shared by the survivors and their children. We are now able to bake our own cakes during birthdays for the mothers and their babies as well and this cuts on costs.
They have also learnt skills on life skills, entreprenuership, digital literacy, financial literacy and also caregiving. Empowerement is key to our program and helps in sustaining the gains that the survivors have at the shelter and beyond.
Thank you very much for your continued support.
