With the rains comes more Abundance.

From our Farm!
From our Farm!

From the support that we have been receiving from GlobalGiving, Agatha Amani House has been able to provide food and basic needs for the residents and their children. Despite being full house for the last one year, and with at least 2 volunteers at any given time, the shelter has been able to provide sustainably. We have been farming and thus have enough vegetables, eggs and milk which has greatly reduced our overall monthly costs as a shelter.  From the chicken, cows,  rabbits and the farm, we have been able to provide balanced diet to all our residents and also to make an income as we also sell the surplus. Apart from food, we have also been using the donations received for medication as some of health services are not fully waived by our government hospital that has been helping us with medical services for the survivors and their children. We recently celebrated Mother's Day and also the International Day of the African Child through the donations that we receive and we had a golden chance to celebrate our women and their children. We have also been buying ingredients needed for bread and mandazi baking for training the women and the bread/mandazis they make during the lessons has been part of their breakfast. We were also blessed with a food donation from Safaricom. We cannot expresss how greatful we are!  A big shout out to all our supporters!
