End of Year for our Beneficiaries

Greetings! Thank you once again for the support you continue to show us. With the economic situation in Zimbabwe, our girls and young women need the help now more than ever. Following our last report, in which we gave you an update on our beneficiaries focusing on the final term of 2019, we are excited to update you about this term and look forward towards 2020.

Eight beneficiaries recently sat for their final Ordinary Level examinations! They wrote between six to ten subjects each. We are all eagerly awaiting the results of these examinations. As always, we are in contact with all the girls and young women to provide resources and support in studying and mentoring. We have also been in touch with the school administrators to ensure that records are up to date and the girls and young women who are finishing up their year will be able to do so stress-free. In the last few months FAWEZI has finalized all payments for 2019 and we have collected receipts for the year. FAWEZI is also always on the lookout for any relevant opportunities or applications we may send our graduates’ way for them to consider after ‘O’ Level. If our funds permit, FAWEZI envisions also taking some of the girls further into Advanced Level and Tertiary Level once the ‘O’ Level results have come back. Unfortunately, FAWEZI was not able to host in-person career guidance sessions this period due to a lack of time and beneficiaries writing exams. But we are looking forward to starting these again in the new year. We strongly believe in buttressing the financial support we are giving to the girls with occasional visits and mentorship sessions so that we deliver holistic support to our beneficiaries. FAWEZI and the teen moms are forever grateful for your unwavering support. As the holidays approach please consider donating again, Global Giving donations are tax deductible and you can make donations in others’ names. This is also an excellent time to start a small, $10/month recurring donation. Recurring donations help us plan and Global Giving is offering matching funds on monthly donations. Thank you in helping us make a positive impact on the lives of our disadvantaged girls. From all of us here at FAWEZI -Thank you.
