This project by Chinseu CBO aims to protect and promote the rights of girls under 18 in Chinseu community so they can grow up safe, healthy, and educated.
Key Rights Focused On
1. Protection from child marriage, abuse, and harmful practices like FGM
2. Equal access to school, school materials, and girl-friendly toilets
3.Access to nutrition, healthcare, and menstrual hygiene support
4.Same opportunities as boys at home, school, and in community decisions
Local Challenges in Chinseu Community
Child marriage, school dropout due to lack of pads/toilets, and limited awareness of girls’ rights.
Expected Impact
When girls in Chinseu know and claim their rights, more girls stay in school, delay marriage, and contribute to the community’s development.
Chinseu CBO works with families, schools, and leaders to make Chinseu community a place where every girl child is safe, valued, and empowered.
