We are thrilled to announce that we are going back to the US/Mexico border in just a few short weeks. This will be our third time in El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico. We will stay in El Paso with a nonprofit but cross over to Mexico to photograph migrant families at four different border shelters. We have not been since the border has been restricted and families are not being allowed to seek asylum any longer. We know they are in a scary limbo period and unsure what their future holds. We hope that getting to have new family portraits taken will bring a glimmer of joy and hope into their day.
After El Paso, we are heading further west to a small border town in Arizona for the first time where another nonprofit is working with us so we can photograph border families there as well.
The Little by Little fundraiser that GlobalGiving just hosted was a great opportunity for us to raise some necessary funds that will go directly to this project, but we know we will need more donations. If you are able, please continue to support our work on this project. We couldn't do it without you.
Thank you!
