We have made great progress in this quarter and all of our foster families are now approved by the provincial foster family approval committee. This model of NGO and government partnership is the first in Thailand and by showing how well it works we are one step closer to our goal of establishing a national system of foster care.
135,000 children remain in institiutions in Thailand, with the right support most could be living with their families and for those who cannot, with your help we can build a system providing the much more desirable option of family based alternative care which includes kinship care and foster care.
