“The ability to share my love for an activity with other kids is a great feeling. Fishing provides an opportunity to bond, despite of any cultural, social, or economical differences. The kids I taught are without a doubt far different from myself, so the thought that I was able to introduce such a great activity to them and encourage them to become more involved in their natural environment is spectacular. As far as looking at what I gained from my experience, F4FN has helped me become a better leader in my community and more aware of the societal differences in my local community.” - Koby Krinsky (F4FN Miami Program Director)
Another fun-filled semester of marine conservation and responsible angling education has concluded! We are now in a crucial phase of expansion as we continue on our mission to educate the next generation of environmental stewards. Our students loved the classes so much that we have decided to lengthen the Responsible Angling Education program from 8 weeks to 30 weeks long. This means more projects, more field trips, more guest speakers, and of course more fun!
The new programs, being rolled out in 2019, will contain a STEM centered curriculum, while focusing on critical topics such as: overfishing, climate change, ocean pollution, and much more! They will be offered at 6 locations in South Florida through our partners: Boys & Girls Club of Miami-Dade & Florence Fuller Child Development Center.
Impacting more youth means that we need your support to continue this advantageous growth. Please consider supporting our efforts by making a gift online today or reaching out to give via check. Every gift makes a difference!
Sincerely,
Nicholas C. Metropulos
