Thanks to your generous support, we're making great strides in promoting health savings within the communities surrounding our Agonga clinic. We've seen firsthand that a key challenge is convincing people to save for their health, as they are often more focused on saving for other things. Our team, led by Claire is working to change this narrative, sharing a message of hope and empowerment.
This past weeks, we had a powerful breakthrough when Claire met with members of a village savings groups, appropriately named God is Able Savings Group. It was an incredible opportunity to introduce the community health insurance scheme. She shared the numerous benefits members will receive and reassured them of our unwavering support as healthcare providers. The group was engaged and had many questions, seeking clarity on payment frequency and service coverage. It was a clear sign of their interest and desire for a better way to manage their health needs.
In response to community needs, we're introducing a new three-tier premium system. This model allows members to pay their premiums on a quarterly basis, with each tier offering a different set of services. The members of God is Able were particularly excited by this flexible and affordable option. One woman, Sheila, shared her personal struggle with healthcare for her three children. She lamented how her three children are constantly battling malaria, leading to high medical costs that she and her husband can barely afford. She sees this insurance scheme as a true blessing, a way to reduce their financial burden and secure a healthier future for her family. The members of God is Able have promised to discuss the plan and get back to Claire soon. We're hopeful this group will be the first of many to embrace this vital program.
