We are so excited to announce that Phase 1 of the shelter expansion has been completed! With a new seven room classroom block, ICT cluster, and beautifully painted exterior, the children- as well as our staff- are truly enjoying their new classrooms! We want to thank all of YOU who helped and supported us throughout our efforts! To you we say: Aye Koooo!
With the completion of Phase 1 are eager to begin Phase 2 of the shelter expansion! Phase 2 of the shelter expansion with consist of adding 7 more dorm rooms, 8 more bathes and 8 more toilets to the Challenging Heights Hovde House in order to expand our capacity from 60 children to 110 children!
Challenging Heights is implementing a new 10 Year Strategic Plan which aims to eliminate child trafficking on Lake Volta by 2029! With the expansion of the shelter we will be able to increase our rescues and expand our efforts in order to make our goal a reality!
