Driving The Multiplier Effect for Systemic Change

Stepping into 2025: Expanding Impact, Transforming Lives

As we begin 2025 with renewed hope and an unwavering commitment to education equity, we are inspired by the incredible strides Teach For India (TFI) Fellows and Alumni have made in driving transformation at all levels of the Indian education system. Today, their collective efforts positively impact over 50 million children across low-income communities.

Beyond the outstanding student outcomes across 220+ low-income schools highlighted in our last report, the Multiplier Effect of the Fellowship continues to grow—creating a ripple of change that extends far beyond the classroom. Thanks to YOUR generous support, we are not only breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty for countless children living on less than $2.50 per day, we are developing lifelong education equity leaders that drive transformations.

Scaling Transformative Impact

A unique strength of the Teach For India Fellowship is its ability to go deep in transforming student outcomes while also scaling impact across communities through its replicability. As we expand our reach in 2025, we are thrilled to share key milestones that further our vision:

Expanding the Fellowship to Gurgaon, Haryana – Extending our leadership development, student voice, and education equity initiatives to another high-need region.
Growing the TFIx Movement – With 43 TFIx Fellowships now operating across 18 states, we are helping some of India's most underserved rural areas through Entrepreneur partners incubated through our TFIx program. These TFIx Fellowships have developed over 5,000 additional leaders who are directly impacting 600,000+ children, delivering excellent outcomes in their classrooms. Fueling the Movement for Education Equity

The Teach For India Fellowship remains one of the only structured, multi-year leadership programs for talented changemakers to immerse themselves in the challenges of India's high-need communities. Through this deep, hands-on experience, Fellows gain the tools and insights needed to drive systemic transformation in the education sector. The results speak for themselves:

165 organizations have been founded by TFI Alumni, spanning public-private partnerships, nonprofits, and grassroots movements—addressing critical gaps in India's education landscape.
Over 70% of Fellow Alumni continue to work in the education sector post-Fellowship, in roles across Government, non-profit and public benefit sectors, reinforcing a lifelong commitment to ensuring that every child has access to an excellent education.
23 states have one or more of TFI Fellow Alumni working on reforms, in addition to TFI's 34 active MoUs with local governments to drive and shape policy.

Bringing Leading With Love to Life

The Fellowship at Teach For India embeds a deep sense of empathy, a belief in EVERY student's potential, and an unwavering commitment to leading with love - ingredients essential for uplifting communities and designing sustainable solutions. This was powerfully evident during TFI's 15th Anniversary Celebration in Mumbai, where we witnessed firstand this journey coming full circle with TFI Student Alumni—those who once sat in Fellows classrooms—return as Fellows themselves after building careers of their own.

Their decision to give back and be part of the movement that shaped them is the ultimate proof of the Multiplier Effect in action. It is a reminder that when we effectively create changemakers, they in turn, uplift generations to come.
