Gearing up for a strong 2024!
Gearing up for a strong 2024!

Moving steadily towards a strong 2024!

For its 2024 cohort of teachers, Teach For India has already received  close to 4,000 applications in round one of several rounds of  recruitment. Each year, the Fellowship program has the privilege of  reviewing an impressive pool of over 16,000 applications from  talented individuals during various cycles of recruitment drives.   With an acceptance rate typically ranging from 6-7%, the upcoming year, 2024, is expected to bring forth another cohort of dedicated and promising educators.

Coming a full circle!

For the past few years, Teach For India’s students who have graduated from school have gone on to pursue impressive degrees, turned entrepreneurs and have also joined the Fellowship and groomed as teachers. This endearing video captures the stories of three such students who have maintained an inspiring track record and currently in the pursuit of their version of excellence!

Teaching Fellow In Focus

Soumya Singh is a TFI Fellow teaching grade 3. Over the past few months, Soumya has come to recognize the diversity that characterizes the classroom in various aspects. Eager to absorb knowledge, the students seek learning experiences that are both enjoyable and immersive. Soumya envisions introducing education in a manner that captivates her students' interest, encouraging creativity, curiosity, and the exploration of diverse possibilities. Her goal is to instill values of compassion, acceptance, and respect within the students, fostering a nurturing environment where perseverance and mindfulness take root, nurturing a compassionate and empathetic persona in each student.
