Sponsor a Child (SAC) team from Youth for Seva organized an EXCEL course in partnership with Rashtrottahana Parishat for 10th standard students from December 10 to December 14. An average of about 50 students attended the EXCEL course where majority of the students were from Sajjanrao Govt. School, Corporation Boys High School and Corporation Girls High School. The other students came from different schools across Bangalore benefiting from the SAC program.
The primary goal was to bring in expert teachers to review concepts, share tips to answer questions and resource persons to motivate the students.
Mr. Jagadish Maiyya, director at Cisco attended the inauguration and motivated the students to study well and pursue excellence in the work they do by taking the example of a tree, mountain and the sun rise.
Mr. Nithin from Wipro came in to provide career guidance to the students.
Teachers came in and covered the following subjects – Algebra, Geometry, Physics, English Grammar, Kannada and Social Studies.
There was a counsellor from Prasanna Counselling Centre who addressed exam phobia among the children
