This project will empower women self-care groups by addressing their socio-economic barriers at village level in Sri Lanka. We assist women headed families for starting entrepreneurships who were engaged in different type of household income activities. This project will help in the formation of women Self-care Groups, providing stationeries and strengthen household income activities with skills by providing within necessary needs for enhancing wellbeing of vulnerable families.
In many vulnerable areas, women headed families face the key challenges, when starting their own entrepreneurship due to income instability, lack of access to financial services, limited skills, gender inequality, cultural and social norms, lack of market access, and lack of saving, health care challenges.
This project is to improve livelihoods and enhance the overall wellbeing of women headed families by strengthening Self-care groups, effective capacity building trainings on entrepreneurship, financial literacy & documentation skills, establish E-market systems, providing equipments and tools and addressing other key structure barriers. Women entrepreneurs will enhance skills to solve their challenges for better life.
The long-term impact of this project could be profound and far-reaching, touching various aspects of the lives of 100 women and their families for mitigate socio-economic wellbeing vulnerabilities through effective interventions. All participants will build micro entrepreneurship for addressing their socio-economic challanges in selected families.
