MAP International will continue to fund and support this project in Kenya, but currently we do not have funding interest from GlobalGiving supporters. MAP's office in Kenya has been in existance for over 30 years and will continue to provide medicines, community health development, and treatment and prevention of neglected tropical diseases to the Kenya people.
The mortality rates for mothers and children under five years of age remain high in Kenya. The Every Child Thrives project aims to reduce child mortality by addressing two of their major causes of disease and death: Vitamin A deficiency and worm infection.
MAP International's Every Child Thrives Project aims to reduce child deaths by addressing two major causes of disease: Vitamin A deficiency and intestinal worm infections. Those over 1 million children are lacking one thing - a simple, yet highly effective solution that will save their lives. MAP International is providing Vitamin A and deworming medicines at the same time to dramatically reduce these children’s susceptibility to disease.
